Welcome to my site! My name is Aaron Ellis, and I’ve been passionate about video and film since I was a kid in middle school. Over the years, this passion has grown into a professional career. In my 20s, I had the privilege of working on several short films, feature films, and web series such as “What Planet Are You From,” “Late Charges,” “Flannigan Syndrome; Type A,” “Apple Jack,” “Worse Than Terrible,” and “Dark Commandos.” I also co-directed “Late Charges” and “Flannigan Syndrome”; diving deeper into the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking. In many of those jobs, I started as a production assistant or lower position and worked my way up during the course of production.

In 2023 I stepped up and expanded my role in the industry by directing and serving as cinematographer for the short film “Get To Work.” Later that year, I took on the same roles for “Double Blind,” both of which I also wrote. These projects allowed me to fully express my vision, from the initial script to the final edit. In 2024, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University, further honing my skills and solidifying my knowledge in the field. I’ve also had the rewarding experience of working with several non-profits, such as “Fill My Basket” and “The Come Up,” creating key documentary and interview-style videos to support their missions.

My journey has equipped me with a diverse range of skills and a substantial collection of gear, including two cinema cameras – the Sony FX6 and the Panasonic BGH1. Additionally, I’m certified with the FAA as a part 107 commercial drone operator, which enables me to capture stunning aerial footage as well. Whether it’s on the ground or in the sky, I bring a creative and professional touch to every project I undertake. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to sharing my work and collaborating on new ventures and stories with you.
